Some Things Don't Get Old!

Some things don't get old! For instance, sitting and eating dinner with your family with no TV never gets old.  I've done it all my life as a child and now, as an adult, with my wife and kids!  You'll be amazed at how much your respect level from your kids will rise and how much they will say to you!

We eat together about 3 to 5 times per week.  The only way we don’t eat together is if I’m out of town or we have a function to attend.  I’m really talking about eating together at YOUR home at YOUR table at YOUR pace. I didn’t say that you had to cook dinner, although sometimes it would be good! (LOL)

You will notice 3 things will develop.  I used the word “develop” on purpose.  The three things that you will notice will not happen in eating together once a week and it won’t happen by doing this for two weeks then stopping. It will take effort to start eating dinner together.  Most likely everyone is doing his or her own thing, especially if you have kids in high school with their own schedule.   You must be creative in finding time!  The younger the kids the easier it is to do.  The older the kids the more difficult it will be to start.  BUT IT CAN BE DONE! 

It will be awkward at first, but if you stay persistent, one of the best habits you can ever create will develop!

Immediately you will notice that your other family members are facing issues that are important to them, but might not be important to you.  Your spouse and children are dealing with situations, good and bad, that might not be high on priority list but it’s high on theirs.  You and your family should be the ones to listen to each other.  Cause if you aren’t the one to listen, somebody else will listen!

The second thing you will see develop is a chance to have bible study.  Now hold up before you start bringing your bible to the dinner table!  The Word of God is an instruction book on life.  This is a grand opportunity to weave the Word of God in with real life situations.  You may have been trying to start a bible study in your home but it just hasn’t worked.  The reason why it hasn’t worked is because you are trying to make the word of God separate from life.  Jesus taught to thousands but His most effective ministry was one on one with people who were going through a situation at that moment.  You will find yourself in that same situation with your family at the dinner table.  Now instead of saying, “Turn your bibles to” you’ll be able to quote a scripture with or without reference to them and begin to explain how to handle the situation.  And the best part is that the Holy Spirit will help solve issues that are important to you and that are important to each of your family members.  Now before you know it you have what I’d like to call an “Organic bible Study”.  The bible study happened naturally without all the formalities of church. 

The third thing that will develop is a love for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.  As the Word of God is used to resolve situations, your family will gain confidence in the Word of God and will want to know more.  The most important thing you can give to your children is access to is learning how to hear God for themselves.  Once you can hear God, you can’t be stopped!

This has been a public service announcement for a dying world!  But I want you to practice this so that neither our children or we will die with it!  There is life in the Word of God and blood of Jesus!

Honor: If You Want It, Give It!

I was meditating I Corinthians 9:1-11.  In that passage, Paul was talking to the Corinthians about, his calling, his personal life, money, and what he should get.  Remember he is also the author of some of your beloved passages in the bible such as I Corinthians 13, Romans 8, Ephesians 1, and many others.  So what Paul says in I Corinthians 9 has accreditation. 

I want to point out one thing he said in that passage.  Actually, I want to point out a couple of things!   It is important that you grab this because this passage has more to do with honor than anything else.  In the world system, honor is a dying word.  Proper civil disobedience, which carried honor, has turned into just blatant disrespect and a lack of honor.  This is why the economy is in the shape that it’s in and our country is headed in the direction it’s headed.  WE CAN’T LET DISHONOR ENTER THE CHURCH!

Paul began by reaffirming his calling to the people of Corinth.  Then he proceeded to talk about the rights that he and Barnabus have. Paul goes on to talk about farm animals.  Read what he said in I Cor 9:9.

For it is written in the law of Moses, thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?

Paul was telling the people at Corinth, who were beginning to experience success in their lives, that it was because of God using them (Paul and Barnabus) to share with them (the Corinthians) spiritual principles and anointing to add to their obedience that was causing the success.  So Paul wanted to know why was it a problem for them to receive HONOR from them.  Paul was letting the people at Corinth know that life is easier because they have someone teaching them how to make life easier.  Of course they (the Corinthians) could have treaded the corn themselves (discover, develop and position plans for success with out any guarantee that they would work), but now all they had to do was follow principles (gather and cook the corn) that were taught and enjoy the fruits of their labor (eat the corn).  I hope you got my illustration.

Your life is made easier because you are being taught principles of life that govern the Kingdom of God and cause you to be successful in a stingy world system. So it’s only right that you HONOR the one that is enlightening you to those principles of the Kingdom of God. 

That leads me to my 2^nd and final point in this passage.  Paul made a statement that  shows more about his trust in God and His word than anything else. In the I Corinthians 9:11, Paul said this:

 ¹¹If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal (natural) things?

That scripture was written in the light that success overtook the Corinthians.  Paul had so much confidence that what God was revealing to the Corinthians through him and Barnabus would produce.  And it was the reason for the Corinthians success! 

In that same manner, what you hear spiritually at your church from your man or woman of God should produce results, fruit, or manifestation in your physical life.  And if it does, then you should show honor to who honor is due!  But sometimes to understand a scripture completely, you need to hear what it means but didn’t say.  Paul was also saying that if what we have taught you spiritually hasn’t produced any natural results then there is nothing for us to reap and we shouldn’t!

It is dishonorable for you to forget about the man and woman of God that made life easier and better for you by praying with you, crying with you, standing with you, counseling you, fighting battles with you, spending time with God so that they could minister to you, constantly searching for more of God to share with you, and most importantly, releasing their anointing on you!

Think about what you would want to happen to you when you were in those positions helping somebody and their life increased because of what you did.  Maybe you’ll take it better if I use bible talk.  Galatians 6:7 reads:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

If you sow honor, you will reap honor.  If you sow dishonor, you will reap dishonor.  The next time you increase don’t forget that if it wasn’t for you spiritual leader saying what “THUS SAITH THE LORD” to you then you wouldn’t have even sniffed increase.  I structure my life on four things, LOVE, HONOR, LOYALTY, AND INTEGRITY.  And I’m reaping all those things in my life as a result!

I leave you with this statement.  If the church you are in is not causing success in your natural life, then the leader, pastor, overseer, bishop, prophet, or apostle of that church should reap anything either!

The Opportunity that Produce All Other Opportunities!

There was a virus on my twitter account (@leroyjrt).  The virus posted a website about quick money from home.  A young man that is following me on twitter responded to ask me if this was a legit twitter post from me.   I responded to let him know that it wasn’t legit.  But then I heard the Holy Spirit, in my ear, say No Shortcuts! Seedtime and harvest first! Everything else follows!

There are some people that are coming into the church trying to replace God as the source of increase.  Nowhere in the bible did God give up the title as Provider. They are entering the church with “opportunities”.  God is the originator of the greatest opportunity there is, which is seedtime and harvest, giving and receiving, sowing and reaping! EVERYTHING ELSE AND EVERY OTHER OPPORTUNITY IS A RESULT OF THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY EVER GIVEN! 

Until you master sowing and reaping, you will always struggle with money and happiness.  Money and happiness are like salt and pepper.  They don’t control each other. You can have one without the other, BUT together they make food taste so much better.  Proverbs 10:22 says, “ The Blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich and added no sorrow. “  So the blessing from God is the only thing that can make money and happiness cooperate!  You don’t have to choose between one and the other!

I’ve had many people who call and waste my time by telling me they have an opportunity for me that will change my life.  My first response to them always is “My life is constantly being changed by my sowing and reaping”. 

I trust God to show me opportunities.  That’s what He promised in Deuteronomy 8:18.  He gave me the power to get wealth, but if I don’t adhere to Luke 16:11, I will jump for everything that comes to try and help God with my increase.  I Corinthians 3: 6-7 clearly makes it known that GOD is the one that gives the increase, NO ONE ELSE OR ANYTHING ELSE. In other words, God will reveal opportunities to you that will cause increase for EVERYONE (buyer, seller, giver, receiver) involved. His opportunities leave everyone involved whole.

According to Luke 16:11, I must first learn how to handle the opportunities I presently have before I get introduced to bigger opportunities from God.  What most people want is for God to give them an opportunity to handle $1 million and they can’t handle $100.  God will introduce bigger opportunities based on present behavior with present opportunities. In Isaiah 48:17, the bible says that God is willing to teach us how to profit and how we should do it.  Teaching is a main ingredient to growth. When God teaches you how to do something and you follow His directions, no one can stop the results from that opportunity from coming into your life!  So if God teaches and shows you opportunities for increase based on what you have handled already, you can rest assured that nobody can stop you from prospering.

Finally, Luke 16:11 says,

            If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

Why would God (Lord of the Harvest, the Provider, Increase giver) give me more than I have now when I can’t trust His system of seedtime and harvest with what I have now?  Stop helping God with channels and wait on him to reveal opportunities!

You are Guaranteed Big Dreams!

You are guaranteed big dreams!

If I show you in the Word of God that you are guaranteed big dreams, will you accept them?  If your answer is yes, then keep reading.  If you answer is no, stop reading because you will be held responsible for reading this.

Jeremiah 29:11 reads,

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

After reading this verse, you can see that you are guaranteed big successful dreams from God.  This is why you must trust God as your source because this scripture is for everyone.  Which means that there can’t be any scarcity in the earth because God had to make plans for everyone to succeed.

Be real with yourself!  You know you have big dreams!  They came from God.  So your question may be “why aren’t my dreams coming to pass?”  I have your answer!

In our dreams, we usually focus on the end of our big dreams or what the results are.  We tend to focus on how much money we will have, what kind of lifestyle we will have, or who we will marry, etc.  But we rarely pay attention to the person we have become in the dream.  Catch this next statement!  You can’t have the results of your dreams until you become the person in the dream! (Yes, you need to read that again!)

Look at Joseph.  He had dreams but he had to develop into the person in the dreams that had the sun, moon, and 11 stars giving obedience to him.  He had to develop into the person that the sheaves bowed down to.

There is a built in governor or safety valve on the dreams that God has for you coming to pass.  That governor is becoming the person of the dream.  I know you think you are the person of the dream.  All it takes is one question to find out if you are the person in the dream.  Have your dreams come to pass?  If not, then you have some more growing to do!  If it has come to pass, then you need to get another dream, because when you stop dreaming, you become useless!

Let’s go through the a few people of character in the bible to see if what I’m saying is true.  We have Moses on the backside of the mountains leading sheep before leading God’s people out of slavery!  We have David tending and protecting sheep from dangerous animals before protecting God’s people from slavery (Goliath)!  Finally we have Jesus in the temple (Luke 2:46-47, 52), 40 days in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-2), and the garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:39) preparing for ministry and the cross!

My advice to you is to stop focusing on the results of your dream and focus on becoming the person in the dream! (Matthew 6:33)

Sincerely Money

I’m never given a chance to express my thoughts so here goes.  This letter is meant to let you know what I’m thinking and how I feel!

Are you righteous?  If so, then I was commanded to be in your house (Psalms 112:3).  I don’t like disobeying my creator.  By the way, you do know to enjoy me is a gift from God (Ecclesiastes 5:19)?

I get a bad rap cause sometimes I wind up in the wrong hands!  Do you realize that Jesus never talked negatively about me?  Any negative talk was about the IMPROPER HANDLING of me!  As a matter of fact, Jesus told me to be your friend (Luke 16:9)!  Once again I don’t want to disobey my creator!  And Stop calling me evil.  I haven’t done anything but follow your orders.  I don’t like being called “evil”  behind my back with your friends after all the good I have done for you.  Really, I'm inherently good because my forefather (gold) saw to that (Gen 2:12)! 

God created me for you.  Please don’t reject me cause I have feelings and I know when I’m not wanted!  I only stay where I’m appreciated and used properly.  You and I can make a lot of people happy.  You take the lead.  I want you to tell me what to do, but if you don’t I’m make a decision for you.

God is willing to teach you how to get more of me (Isaiah 48:17).  If I knew your dreams, I could recruit more of my friends to help me bring your dreams to pass.  If you talked to me more often in the right way, I’ll invite more of my friends over. 

If you think there is not enough of me to go around, I will always control you.  When u see me w/someone else, don't be mad.  There's enough of me to go around. I don't die. I multiply!  If you let me, I can enhance your happiness!

Every time you buy something with me, stop saying I’m spent.  Begin to say that you are circulating me and watch I come back.  When you give me away with right intentions, I always return with more friends.

I got a feeling that you are a good boss and more of my friends will be willing to work for you!

I’m glad you read my letter.  Watch how comfortable we get with each other the more we talk.  I bet you didn’t know I had so much to say!  Don’t be a stranger, lets talk again soon.  I’m waiting for your instructions!

Should I Make Friends with Money?

I finally understand Luke 16:9! It reads:

And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

First, we must at least consider the importance of this scripture because it is spoken from the mouth of Jesus, our Savior!  This scripture has baffled the church for so long because it sounds contradictory.  It sounds like Jesus is telling us to become friends with or come into covenant with money.  So the first scripture pops up in your head, my head, and everyone else’s head is 1Tim 6:10 (the love of money is the root to all evil).

But to understand this scripture, you must read the story of the unjust steward (Luke 16:1-8) and realize that Jesus used that parable to illustrate how the children of this world use their (now get this) TWISTED CREATIVITY to make a way for themselves.  Jesus said that in the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

I had the words “twisted creativity and their generation” in bold type because these words are important.  First, Jesus was emphasizing the importance of using your God given creativity or infinite intelligence (1 John 2:20) to make yourself valuable because you can produce and implement ideas that produce wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18).  The children of this world have been using their twisted creativity to make money.  But God wants you to use your righteous creativity to fulfill His will in the earth and the children of this world will pay you for it because to them that’s the most valuable thing they can come up with to exchange for your God given brilliance! 

If you read Luke 16:10-13, you’ll see the word “faithful” used over and over.  Now in order for you to grasp the insight of this parable, you must understand the word “faithful”.  Faithful means to be full of faith or to be full of God’s instructions, which produces consistency.  So if you apply that definition to those verses, then you’ll see that Jesus is pointing our focus on using God’s intelligence on the small assignments. Using God’s intelligence when handling money.  Using God’s intelligence when we are on our jobs!  If we do that, then God will know that we’ll use His intelligence on the big assignments, He’ll give you the wisdom that controls everything, and He’ll cause you to be promoted to own your own!  That sounds like money, riches, wealth chasing you!

The Jesus finally culminates this parable by saying verse 13 of Luke the 16th chapter.

 ¹³No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Jesus was letting us know that, when we perform services or give our labor, that we must give our 100% percent effort by using all that we know and what God knows to accomplish our task, regardless of pay.  When you do that, you are serving God, and He becomes your Rewarder.  Money is no longer a master because you are not working for money rather working to express your creativity. And for that the Greatest Rewarder alive will reward you!

So when Jesus told us to make friend with unrighteous mammon, He was telling us to use our creativity or God infinite intelligence to perform on the earth.  If you need an example of someone making friends with unrighteous mammon, read the story of Joseph (Genesis chapters 37, 39, 40, & 41)

Finally, the children of this world are no longer wiser than us because we are going to begin using God’s intelligence (1 John 2:20) to perform in the earth!

Don't Be Deterred!

If God is your father, then when He speaks, His words should have an affect on you!  It’s amazing to me how some people like to pick the bible apart to fit their idea of who God is and how He feels towards certain subjects.  I’m so glad that we have the Bible, which is a record of God speaking or words inspired by God.  The words in the bible that are inspired by God really means the idea originated from Him.

If God is your father, then you know the words that He speaks and inspire is THE TRUTH.  You can’t pick and choose what part of the bible you will receive and what part you will reject and still call God your father!  Of course you can choose not to walk in certain truth, but you can’t deny that it’s TRUTH.  God and His word are the same so you can’t get part of God. Either you take all of Him or leave all of Him.  You can’t take half of your wife or husband.  You can’t take half of your children. In the human experience, you have to take the shortcomings of your family along with the strengths.   So in your spiritual experience, you have to take all of God’s goodness, which is redemption!  If I find something in the bible that doesn’t fit my religion (man made ideas of who God is), then my idea of who God is must conform to what God says about Himself.

If God has given me the power to get wealth, then who has the authority to say that I’m not supposed to be wealthy (Deuteronomy 8:18).  If Jesus became poor that I might become rich, then who has the authority to say the being rich is evil (2 Corinthians 8:9).  I can go on and on with God speaking and inspiring words about wealth.

Don’t let the frustration of others that can’t manipulate God into making them rich stop you from allowing God to make you rich.  You can always tell when someone is trying to manipulate God because they get frustrated after sowing seed and not receiving a harvest on their timeline.  So they resort in finding scriptures to prove that they nor you are not supposed to be rich or wealthy, which within itself provides a contradiction.  How can you believe John 3:16 and not Deuteronomy 8:18?  How can you believe Romans 10:8-10 and not believe Psalms 112:3?  Same bible and Same God.

Read this next statement carefully!  Even if you have to read it over, DO SO!  The bible never talks negatively about money.  It talks negatively about money being handled or obtained improperly!  Filthy lucre, root of evil, and every other negative reference to money is pointing to the improper gain or handling of money!  Every time money is referred to negatively, the bible showed how money was being chased or was the center of attention.

Thank God that He made it clear that there is a proper way to handle and obtain money, the law of seedtime and harvest.  In the same bible, I read Matthew 6:32-33 that says If I seek first God’s ways of doing things and doing them the way He wants, he will add everything the Gentiles are seeking to me.  That sounds like money is chasing those obedient to what God wants.  Isaiah 1:19 goes on to read that if I am willing and obedient, I will eat the good of the land!  That sounds like the good of the land being provided because I’m willing and obedient to what God wants.  Once again, provisions are the chaser and whoever was willing and obedient is being chased by provisions.  Hebrews 11:6 (one of religions favorite faith scriptures) reads, But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a REWARDER of those who diligently seek Him.  This sounds like God is rewarding those that puts His priorities first.  In other words, all those verses that we just went over, looks like God and what He wants is the center of the person’s attention, and the person, who prioritized God’s will first is the center of money’s attention! (You need to read that statement again and it will sink in!)  After reading that statement again, you’ll realize that money in your hands assists you in fulfilling God’s will on earth.  Now tell me again, How can that be evil?

Finally, You will always have someone that doesn’t properly work the law of seedtime and harvest because of trying to manipulate God and getting no results. Then try to get you to debate the TRUTH OF WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY SAID ABOUT YOU, WEALTH RICHES, AND MONEY!  Don’t let them deter you from working God’s principles correctly and being rewarded!

RECEIVE YOUR MONEY, MAN!!!!

I'm Brainwashed!!!!!!

Everybody in this world is brainwashed.  I don’t know why so many people are scared of that word.  In actuality, that’s the only way to get things to manifest in your life.  I’m glad Jesus was brainwashed.  I’m glad Martin Luther was brainwashed.  I’m glad Martin Luther King was brainwashed.  I’m glad President Barak Obama is brainwashed.  I’m extremely glad that Dr. Leroy Thompson, Sr. is brainwashed. (His thought process has had a direct affect on how My wife, children, and I think about life!)  In other words, I’m glad these people were totally convinced of what they wanted out of life despite negative feedback from other people!

You need to be brainwashed.  Don’t get alarmed!  Romans 12:2 is talking about being brainwashed.  It says be ye not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  In other words, don’t allow this world’s way of thinking override you, but let the word of God override your thinking so that your behavior can set you up to receive the will of God for your life!  That sounds like brainwashing to me!

Romans 10:17 is talking about being brainwashed.  It says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. In plain English, whatever you hear the most that is what you will have confidence to do. 

Mark 9:23 talks about being brainwashed.  It says that if you can believe, all things are possible to him/her that believes.  If you can convince yourself that what you want to happen can happen, then it will happen!

I have given you three scriptures that promote brainwashing.  I don’t mind being brainwashed if THE TRUTH is being used to convince me!    It takes an engineering feat to wash your mind to the point that you are convinced that you are prosperous despite your surroundings! It has to happen on the inside before it shows up on the outside.

The difference between the haves and the have not’s is what is being used to wash their brains.  What are you using to wash your brain?  Are you using what the world says about you financially or what God is saying about you financially?

Wisdom: A Higher Form of God's Substance

I hope you had a great Easter weekend.  After taking inventory of my life, I’m so grateful that Jesus did what He did.  It has allowed me to experience life as a dream coming true! You should feel the same way.

On the last few blog posts, I have been talking about higher forms of God’s substance.  Money is the lowest form of God’s substance but, there are other forms of God’s substance that are higher.  We all know that Love is the highest form of God’s substance.  My focus is to show you that if you use the higher forms of God’s substance, then you can control the lowest form of God’s substance.

In this blog, I want to give you another higher form of God’s substance, which is wisdom.  I don’t want to give you a conventional definition of wisdom.  I like to give definitions that will allow you understand and apply.  So here goes.

Wisdom is knowing what to do, when to do, and how to do (Bad English but you get my point).  Another definition is having the ability to accomplish more with what you have now.  When it takes others more to accomplish the same thing.

In other words, God’s wisdom will allow you to accomplish more with the money you have now.  While it may take others more money to do the same thing you’re doing with less.

That’s why Proverbs 4:7 is so powerful.  It says that WISDOM is the PRINCIPLE thing!  It is the main thing!  Let’s look at it this way.  God will tell you what to do, when to do, and how to do to accomplish more with what you have now.  When others are relying on their own intelligence to accomplish the same thing you are accomplishing except they need more money! That’s Isaiah 48:17!

Isaiah 48:17 says that God is willing to show you how to profit!  God is willing to tell you secrets that will cause you to profit.

God even said that He will give you wisdom if you ask (James 1:5).  So, if you ask,  God will tell you what to do, when to do, and how to do so that you can profit.  WOW! It's as simple as that!

I’ll finish with this. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Get God’s wisdom because GOD’S WISDOM CONTROLS money!

Divine Relationships PT 2.: Horizontal Divine Relationships

On the last blog, I talked about Divine Relationships as one of the higher forms of God’s substance.  I want to remind you that money is the lowest or most reduced form of God’s substance.  If we learn to operate in the higher forms of God’s substance, then we can control the lowest form.

As promised, I want to use this blog to continue to talk about Divine Relationships.  We have already defined what a Divine Relationship is.  It’s a connection to someone orchestrated or setup by God and discovered by you!  That’s right!  You have to discover Divine Relationships.  I went further to discover to types of Divine Relationships, vertical and horizontal.  The last blog I talked about vertical Divine Relationships (If you haven’t read that one, click here to access it.).  This blog I will talk about horizontal Divine Relationships. 

A horizontal Divine Relationship is you being connected to someone or a group of persons that help you control your environment of thoughts and actions.  In other words, this person or group of persons will challenge you every time you walk away from the path that is leading you to the place where YOU said you wanted to go!   

Now a horizontal Divine Relationship will keep you sharp and is willing to receive from you as well.  Horizontal Divine Relationships are all over the Bible.  But I stumbled across one that it took one whole book in the bible to demonstrate.

Whenever you get a chance, read the whole book of Job.  In that book, you’ll see where Job lost all that he had.  He began to complain and blame God.  He had 3 friends that came to console him and yet he still complained.  In Chapters 2-31, Job 3 friends were trying to console him, but Job became righteous in his own eyes (Job 32:1) and they could say no more to him.

You must carefully analyze all relationships to see if they are Divine or just acquaintances.  I saw something in the story of Job that shocked me.  I always thought that those 3 friends were doing Job a favor by trying to console him.  But in Job 32:4, you can read that a fourth person entered the picture named Elihu.  He got angry with Job and his three friends because in all that talking for 29 chapters, no one told Job the truth that mattered.  Yes, they were making true statement, but all the true statements in the world don’t matter if they don’t get YOU to realize THE TRUTH!

Elihu told Job in so many words that He was the problem, not God, not satan, but it was he!  Now that’s a Divine Relationship.  It took Elihu 6 chapters to do what the three so-called friends couldn’t do in 29 chapters, which was to tell Job that He was the problem.  The three friends knew that but wouldn’t tell Job.

In the 38th chapter of Job, Job finally came back to his senses after Elihu held him accountable for his actions and beliefs.  Then God restored Job two times more than what He had before.

Horizontal Divine Relationships are important and you see how it helped Job with his material possessions. Watch whom you hang around and whom you let speak into your life! 

I leave you with this thought.  A Divine Relationship is a higher form of God’s substance that controls the lowest form of God’s substance, money!

Prosperity is a Journey!

Prosperity is a Journey!

Prosperity is a journey, not an event or destination. Therefore you must be willing and make the decision to go on this journey with God. I make it a habit to listen and rehearse lessons that builds a pathway that leads towards prosperity. This allows what I hear to sink in and become apart of my conscious thinking. When it becomes apart of my conscious thinking, my behavior changes. I become aware that Holy Spirit is taking me farther along this journey of Prosperity.

Matthews 6:33 is tells us to seek God’s kingdom. Many of us have been seeking God. Let’s think about this. The moment I accepted Jesus as my savior, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit took up residence on the inside of me. (John 14:23,26) If THEY came to live on the inside of me, I shouldn’t have to look for God anymore. I know where to find Him. I can always find Him on the inside of me.

Matthew 6:33 is really telling us to seek the KINGDOM of God or God’s system of operating in the earth. WOW! You mean to tell me that I know where God is? And if I know where God is, then I know where to look for His system of operating in the earth? Yes Ma’am and Yes Sir! That’s exactly what I’m saying to you.

Why have you been searching for answers to your financial dilemmas from the outside instead of the inside? One way we’ve been trying to search for answers from the outside is by trying to work 2 jobs, getting more education to position ourselves for promotions, or starting a business.

Remember the Source of creation lives on the inside of us. I just need to learn the Source’s way of doing things for me! You just need to learn the Source’s way of doing things for you!

Once you learn the Source's way of doing things for you, you'll find out what channel (job, business, education) He wants to use. Remember Prosperity is a journey. We all have to use the same principles, but we have different pathways to Prosperity!

Personal Responsibility

I was thinking on the words “personal responsibility”. The Holy Spirit began to run me through the word of God and show me how the history of the bible was determined by man. That leads me to this statement: “God decides what can happen and I decide if it will happen!”
Until we eliminate all excuses and placing blame for our present conditions on others or other circumstances, we will never reach our full potential life. Everything that happens to you is a result of a decision that you made.

You are the blame for where you are financially, whether you like where you are or you don’t. Nothing can change until you accept that!

All the scriptures in the bible that refer to prosperity involve individuals making a decision for themselves.
2 Corinthians 9:10
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness

God gives seed to a sower. You must DECIDE to become a sower.

3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
You will only prosper as much as your thoughts prosper. Who controls you thoughts? You or does someone else?

I can go on and on, but let’s make personal responsibility applicable to your everyday life. Let me tell you a story of I learned about personal responsibility. I had just bought a brand new washer and dryer to put in my house. I picked them up from the store in my truck. I forgot a piece that I needed to go with the dryer. I stopped at another large local home improvement store with the washer and dryer in the back of my truck and I parked in the front. I figured that I would just run in, purchase the piece, and run out. I felt an urge to go and drop the washer and dryer off first, but I decided to go into the store any way. So when I came out the washer and dryer were gone with my tailgate down.

Someone had stolen my appliances out the back of my truck! I was hotter than fish grease! I immediately called the police and filed a report. When I sat back in my truck disgusted, the Holy Spirit spoke these words to me, “It’s your fault”. At that moment, the whole situation flashed back over my mind and the Holy Spirit reminded me that it was my decision to leave the truck and go into the store.

Were the persons wrong for stealing? YES! Was my freedom and rights as a human violated? YES! But it was my decision to leave the truck unattended for five minutes that led to all the subsequent actions. So in the end it was my fault. Does that means that I beat myself up? No, all that means is that when I begin to take responsibility for my world, I controls what happens.

If you want to increase, it’s your responsibility. I’m not talking about working harder, or getting another college degree. I’m talking about taking responsibility for your thoughts! Taking responsibility for you feelings! Taking responsibility for your actions. I close with this statement. “ Anything in your life that you don’t like, if you think back far enough, you’ll see where you initiated the process! Control your thoughts!

Divine Relationships: A Higher Form of God's Substance

I didn’t know which higher form of God’s substance to begin with.  They don’t have per se a chronological order.  All I know is that LOVE is the highest form of God ‘s substance because everything works by love.  Also God is LOVE!

I started to think about what did you and I do after finding about God’s love.  The next thing we did was connecting to His love!  Then it dawned on me. I need to talk about the Divine Relationships, which is a higher form of God’s substance. Remember these higher forms can produce money (the lowest form of God’s substance) or the same thing money can buy or sometimes can’t buy!  It may be one relationship that causes you to prosper beyond your wildest dreams.

Divine relationships are connections to others setup by God and recognized by you.  You have to recognize divine connections.  They are not governed by feelings.  They are governed by faith!  A Divine relationship is a must for you to prosper.  Without it you will never reach your potential.  God told Abraham in Genesis 12:3 that He (God) was going to bless those that blessed him (Abraham).  In other words those that caused Abraham to prosper, God was going to cause them to prosper.  The only ones that could receive the blessing are those that had a relationship (connection) with Abraham.  Now you can see why Lot, Abraham’s nephew, was rich.  And you can also see why Lot lost all he had.  It had everything to do with connection. 

As I’m writing, I see that this blog will develop into two parts.  There are two types of divine relationships, vertical Divine relationships and horizontal Divine relationships.  Vertical Divine relationships consist of you being connected to someone who’s been there, done that, and got the T-shirt to prove it.  Horizontal Divine relationships consist of you being connected to someone that will help you control your environment of thoughts and actions or others who are going down the same path that you are going. 

We will focus on vertical Divine relationships in this blog and horizontal Divine relationships in the next blog.

Now let’s get back to Abraham and Lot.  When Lot stayed connected to Abraham, everything was fine.  When he started to quarrel with Abraham, everything went south.  Let’s look and the inner meaning of what really happened.  When Lot adhered to Genesis 12: 3, he was able to learn what Abraham was learning.  Abraham was able to show him what he was learning.  When Lot cut off that Divine relationship, he cut off his flow of Divine information.  Could Lot have heard directly from God and use the blessing on his own?  Yes, he could have.  But my question is “WHY DIDN’T LOT HEAR FROM GOD ON HIS OWN AND USE THE BLESSING?”  We can easily tell that Lot didn’t know how to do this because of the results that he got.  The number one reason for vertical Divine relationships is accountability.

Everything in God’s system works by the seed principle.  Everything you need to accomplish what God has planned for you is already in you.  But it’s just like a seed.  You can’t tell how many apples or the quality an apple seed will produce.   You can only tell the potential.  Until that seed is planted, cultivated and allowed to grow, you won’t know what kind of fruit it will produce.

Well the planting, cultivation, and growth of the seed comes from the accountability of the sunlight, water, and dirt.  Those three things gives the seed what it needs and protects it so that it can reach it’s potential!  WOW!!!

The seed of potential in your life needs accountability from someone who has produced what you have potential to produce.   That’s the purpose of vertical Divine relationships.  For the sake of the blog, I’m going to give you some examples of Divine relationships that you can research and study for yourself.

-       David and the men that joined themselves to him 1 Samuel 22:1-2 and 1 Chronicles 28:1-12

-       Moses and Joshua

-       Jesus and the disciples

-       Elijah and Elisha

-       Naomi and Ruth

-       Paul and Timothy

Remember every last one of these relationship cause increase!

The Higher Forms of God's Substance!

On the last blog entry, we discussed that Love is the highest form of God’s substance. We’re so busy trying to attain the lowest form or most reduced form of God’s substance, which is money, we don’t even realize that there are higher forms of God’s substance that control money.

Money doesn’t mean anything until it can be exchanged for something of value.  The money in your wallet or purse is printed on the same paper that you can get at office depot.  That’s why the government tightly guards the money plates that stamp the ink on paper bills.  Money is so important because it represents the value that can be received when exchanged.  You have the power to create value or wealth.  Or a better way to say it is you have the ability to produce or create wealth. 

My purpose for pointing out the higher forms of God’s substance is to enlighten you to realize that you create wealth.  These higher forms of God’s substance will cause you to create value in your life with out money ever leaving your hand.    Am I saying that you don’t need money?  No, but what I am saying is that you should not focus on the lowest form of God’s substance when there are higher substances that will control the flow of money!

If you are looking for old time religion, this ain’t it.  So you can stop reading!  This is about being, not becoming, BUT BEING who God called you to be, producing what God has given you power to produce, and receiving what God has planned for you to receive!

I’m not worried about inflation or the crashing of the dollar.  I’m not buying gold or silver trying to protect what I already have.  It doesn’t matter what currency becomes dominant.  If I master the higher forms of God’s substance, then whatever measures value will be attracted to me so I can exchange it for what I value!  Why? Because I am connected to the SOURCE and His higher forms of substance are working in my life.

I started off this blog meaning to give another higher form of God’s substance.  As I was writing, I got detoured into writing about the importance of the higher forms of God’s substance.  I will list the higher forms of God’s substance so you can begin to think about them and also you will realize that some of them have been working in your life already.  But when I list them, you will become conscious or aware that some of them were working in your life already.  What ever you become conscious or aware of begins to work more efficiently in your life because you are looking and expecting them to work for you!

You already know one, which is LOVE!  It is the highest form of God’s substance.  God is love.  All the other forms work because of Love.  Another is favor or grace, which is special treatment.  Mercy is a higher form.  Mercy is God not allowing the bad results should happen to me and instead allows a good result to happen in which I don’t deserve.  Sometimes you may make a bad decision with your money, and God’s mercy kicks in and doesn’t allow the results from that decision to have its full affect on you and you come out smelling like a rose!

The Anointing of God is a higher form of God’s substance.  The anointing removes burdens and destroys yokes.  The anointing allows you to accomplish thing financially that other are stopped from doing and they can’t figure out why they are stopped. You can’t buy it, you can’t manufacture it, and you can’t steal it.   You just have to catch it!

Divine health is a higher form of God substance.  The better you body works, the less money you have to spend trying to fix it!  And you can better enjoy the money you have! 

Wisdom is a higher form.  I like to keep things simple and this is how I define wisdom:  knowing what to do, when to do it, and how to do it! It also allows you to do more with what you have when it takes others more money to do the same!

Faith is a higher form of God’s substance.  Faith is you trusting God, which leads to obeying his instruction.  Your faith gives God permission to do for you what He’s wanted to do all along!

Divine Understanding is a higher form of God’s substance.  When you understand or become conscious/aware of God being, not just a Supreme Being in heaven, but a Supreme Being who is my father and living on the inside of me, you can develop the use of the other higher forms of God’s substance.

Divine Relationships are a higher form of God’s substance.  The right relationship can produce money and everything else you need.  I have many divine relationships.  My wife, who helps me, be the best I can be.  My Parents, in two ways spiritually and naturally, challenge me to reach my potential and open doors that I couldn’t and don’t have to open by myself.    I can go on and on.  I will expound on each of these in future blogs, but I have to drop this one on you about divine relationships.  Read 1 Samuel 22 1-2 and 1 Chronicles 28:1-12.  You’ll see how divine connections will cause you to prosper.

I will look at each of these higher forms of God’s substance in the coming weeks.  I want to remind you that all these higher forms control the lowest form, money!

Love: The Highest Form of God's Substance.

If you have been following me on twitter, you might have seen the hash tag #Godssubstance. If you haven’t, you can search that hash tag on twitter and follow the posts.

My point for starting the hash tag #Godssubstance is to identify the different forms of God’s substances. I have become aware that money is a form of God’s substance. But it’s the lowest or most reduced form of God’s substance. In other words, money is the result or visible form or God’s higher form of substance.

So that this blog won’t be long, I will not go into detail about all of God’s substance. Just search the hash tag #Godssubstance to get a chance to see all the different forms of God’s substance. I’ll also expound in future blogs about the other forms.

We’re so busy looking for money that we forget that money is only a measurement of value or a medium of exchange. The value is in what money is exchanged for. If that’s the case then why should I be chasing the result of value or the lowest form of God’s substance when I can create value? Sometimes it’s not money that we need but another form of God’s substance that will give us the same value that money could be exchange for.

In this blog, I will deal with the highest form of God’s substance, which is LOVE! God is love. Love is the foundation for all other forms of God’s substance. Everything and every act that God performs towards us is based on love. Why? Because GOD is LOVE!

Jesus said that He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. That means that we should be living life to the fullest in every area. Jesus was the word of God made flesh. Based on that we can easily say that Jesus was love in the flesh. So Love came that we might have the right and ability to live life to the fullest in every area.

Let me tell you a quick testimony of how love is the highest form of God’s substance. On March 13, 2011, my wife, my son, and I were leaving Baton Rouge on I-10 headed east. We were behind an 18-wheeler and I moved over into the passing lane. I was going about 70 mph and the 18-wheeler was going about 65 mph. (The next series of events happened within 5 seconds.) As soon as I got into the passing lane, I heard a loud voice saying, “ HIT THE GAS.” Immediately I hit the gas! My wife was reading and kind of looked at me funny. (I guess she was wondering why I hit the gas so fast and so hard.) At the same time I’ll turned my head to look at my rear view mirror. In that process, I noticed a truck, on I-10 headed west, swerved into his right lane and them made a 90-degree left turn crossing the median headed towards us. I hollered, “Oh Lord” and the truck just missed us and hit the car that drove up behind the 18-wheeler. And my wife and I heard a loud boom. That was the same 18-wheeler that we were just behind! That truck was so close to hitting us that, as it passed, I felt the wind from that truck shake the tail end of my SUV!

Of course by now I’m nervous and my heart is racing. My wife asked me why I hollered and I asked her did she see that truck almost hit us. Her reply was all she saw was lights. I told her that what I heard did, and saw. She said she didn’t hear anything. We both came to the conclusion that what I heard was the voice of God. I also believed our angels pushed my truck in addition to me hitting the gas.

I turned around at the next exit to go help if I could and what I pulled upon made me become even more nervous. The car that the truck hit exploded on contact killing 5 people including a little child. (My son was sleeping on the back seat.) I immediately begin to pray for the people and their families that were involved.

As I got home, still amazed at the voice of God and profusely thanking HIM, I began to think that God loves me so much that He would shout instructions to get my attention to preserve my family’s life and send Angels to push my truck. In preserving my family’s life, we avoided all sorts of destruction. He preserved my two daughters’ futures, eliminated potential medical bills, and every other damage possible.

If God can loves me enough to give me instructions to preserve my life, then why would God withhold love that teaches me to control something unimportant and plentiful as money. What’s more important, life or money? The answer is self-explanatory! So If God can use the highest form of His substance (LOVE) to give me instructions to preserve my life and my family’s life (the most important gift God has ever given), which is infinitely more important then money, then God can use the highest form of His substance (LOVE) to give me instruction to control the lowest form of God’s substance (Isaiah 48:17)!

Money Is Important Yet Unimportant Part 2

Money is important.  You must be comfortable with talking about money, living with money, circulating money, and receiving money.  There were 3 principles, discussed in the last blog that must sink into your thought life.  First, there is enough for everybody.  Next, you must accept responsibility for the results in your life.  And Finally, You must realize that your prosperity and increase is not taking anything from anyone else. 

As you allow these principles to sink in, then you realize that you are not in competition with anyone.  There is enough for everyone! I'm responsible for my prosperity, and as I prosper it’s not diminishing the Source!

Then something strange begins to happen!  Money begins to lose its level of importance!  It’s just like oxygen.  Most people don’t think twice about oxygen.  Is oxygen important?  Well, heck yeah it is!  But you don’t think about it because there is an abundance of oxygen.  You don’t wake up in the morning saying “I wonder if I’m going to have enough oxygen today.”  Or “ Let me shorten my breath, so my neighbor can have more oxygen.”  You simply get up in the morning and go your merry way. 

Now, on the other hand, get trapped in a vault with limited oxygen or go deep sea diving and misjudge the amount of oxygen in your tank.  Oxygen is all of a sudden very important.

When you understand that money is not the dictator but a result or follower of previous actions, you can then put your focus on your thoughts.  Your thoughts produce your feelings.  Your feelings cause you to act.  Your actions bring certain results.  You should be getting your thoughts from the SOURCE OF EVERYTHING, GOD.

On the last blog, I gave some reasons why money is important.  When you begin to look at money like you look at oxygen, you then can focus on the path that money builds.  Let’s look at those reasons again, but in a new light.

Money buys the clothes for you, but it can’t make you enjoy and digest the food!

Money buys clothes for you, but it can’t make you feel good wearing them!

Money buys or rents a house/apartment for you, but it can’t make it a home!

Money buys experiences for you, but it can’t make you enjoy and remember those experiences!

Money can buy educational opportunities for you, but it can’t make you learn a thing!

When money becomes that importantly needed thing rather the important thing that has all my focus, money will flow to you easily and frequently!

Money is important yet unimportant!

Money is one of the few things in this world that can be important and unimportant at the same time.  Money is important because that's what we use to value things.  So if money is what we use to value things, then you must have it to obtain things that are valuable to you.  So that's why you exchange your time and energy to obtain money.  

If you think that money isn't important, let's take a look at some facts.

Money buys food for you.

Money buys clothes for you.

Money buys or rents a dwelling for you.

Money buys experiences for you. (movies, vacation, dinner, etc.)

Money buys educational opportunities for you.

I can go on all day but you get the point.  There is nothing free in this world. I mean nothing.  There are some things you may get or experience that cost you nothing, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t cost someone something.  Charities cost something.  The people that benefit from charities may not pay anything but it sure did cost something.  There is no such thing as something for nothing!

So money is important.  Most people spend over half of their life trying to attain money.  This is why you must be comfortable talking about money, living with money, circulating money, and receiving money!

In order to be comfortable with talking about money, living with money, circulating money, and receiving money, there are three fundamental principles that you must permanently place in your belief system.

1.    There is enough for everybody!  There is no lack.  For you to say that there is not enough for everyone is for you to claim that God did an incomplete job when He created the earth.  When have you ever known God to do and incomplete job?  NEVER!  Just because you see lack doesn’t means that lack is the majority.  If you look again, you see money changing hands all the time right around you!

2.    You must accept responsibility for the results in your life!  Nobody else can take credit for your results.  No matter what happens to you, if you trace back for enough you can see where you initiated the process. 

“My marriage is horrible!”  Who said “I Do”? 

“I hate my job!” Who interviewed and accepted the position?

“My friend doesn’t respect me?  Who keeps entertaining them?

“I’m about to lose my house because of this balloon note” Who signed the mortgage?

The answer to all those questions is the same, YOU!  Now this can be bondage or liberating.  It all depends on how you take this next statement.  As soon as you blame someone else for you results, you just gave your power away to change the results to what you want.  If you are not willing to accept the blame, then you will remain in bondage and always feeling helpless.  But if accept the blame, you will be empowered to explore the steps it takes to change the results to what you want!

3.    The third and final principle will be the hardest to grasp and act upon because it involves emotions.  You must realize that your prosperity and increase is not taking anything from anyone else.  Increasing in money is a personal decision. You can’t make the decision for anyone else to prosper.  Just like no one can make the decision for you to prosper but you.  You are not all that.  I’m not all that!  So if you and I can take responsibility for our prosperity then our brothers and sisters can do the same. I am my brother’s keeper, not his provider! (This includes family)  God is the provider!  It’s my job to point my brother to The Provider.   If my brother connects with The Provider, he will not need me.  If my brother rejects The Provider, I will not accept the blame for his lack and I WILL NOT FEEL GUILTY ABOUT MY PROSPERITY!  I will always offer help to point him to The Provider!  Everyone has the same opportunity to connect to The Provider!   

Begin to let these three principles sink into your thought life. The next blog we will cover why money is unimportant.
